Breeding Program
Once we set our goal to breed huacaya alpacas, we made the
decision to build our herd with the best genetics from the
ground up. From that decision our foundation line was created,
with lineages that read like the "who's who" in
the alpaca world: names that create legends worldwide such
as: PPPeruvian Royal Fawn, Snowmass Invincible, Augusto, Accoyocusani,
Andean Gold, Peruvian Legacy, Peruvian Don Julio, Crescent
Moon's Rayo Del Sol, Checkmate, Caligula, Danko, Hemingway
and many, many more proven genetics.
We are proud of the herd we have cultivated and continually
strive to improve each generation's fleece characteristics;
always striving to have the finest, brightest, most consistent

Customer Service
 BGF
offers our clients 24/7 support year round. We understand that there will
be "odd" questions at odd hours! We have extensive customer
service backgrounds and understand the importance it plays whether you
are a newcomer to the business or a veteran breeder with a unique circumstance.
We are always available to share our experiences of how we handle specific
situations in the care of our alpacas with anyone who contacts us; however,
this information is our experience only and is not intended as a replacement
for veterinary advice and care.
 Terrie's
background in nursing and Greg's extensive background in design and building
enable us to assist in all aspects of alpaca care from barn design to
health and nutritional issues. We are committed to help new breeders get
started on the right track. Terrie can assist with instruction on how
our farm administers basic vaccines/shots as well as our vaccine schedule
(always check with your vet for specifics for your farm situation). She
is also a hand spinner, weaver, felter, owner of a fiber processing and
weaving mill and an alpaca home décor business. So if your interest
is in fiber and fiber arts, she is available to discuss fiber attributes,
end products, fiber art classes and custom fiber fabrics (see more on
our page: We're All About the Fiber). Greg
is available for recommendations on pasture and/or barn design. All BGF
animals are sold with up to date vaccines and a detailed medical history.
We also offer free delivery within 200 miles of our farm. All animals
purchased from us receive free boarding for 60 days and reasonable agisting
(boarding) fees apply after 60 days.
